August Rush guitar slap song - a short clip from the film August Rush, where August discovers his musical talent for the first time. I really enjoy watching and listening to this clip - I feel the guitar music gives a positive, warming feel. The cinematography depicts light, openness - full of resonance, which the music complements, creating an atmospheric quality I want with my space. It is obviously "rhythmic", with a driving and constant beat, yet is never static, with plenty of "flavour". The guitarist for the scene, Kaki King, employs slap guitar techniques, an unconventional but satisfying way to play the instrument.
